Alasdair McLuckie

The Hotel Windsor,
Four Windows, Spring and Bourke St

Artist statement:

Alasdair has created a site-specific drawing work for the four arched windows of The Windsor’s Bourke Street building. The works are a response to the lines of the surrounding walls to the windows where my work will be displayed, as well as the patterns and textures of the city more broadly. The twelve arms of each of the new designs are also a clock face reference, and to that of time passing generally and of that invisible element that is always present and inherent in the formulation and continuation of the cities being.
