Artist statement:

I grew up in Melbourne and left for London thirty years ago but still return.

I loved the city then ...window shopping at the glamourous Le Louvre and lay-buying at Georges ...as a child, my mother taking me to the Princess Theatre to see Marlene Dietrich and having a chocolate milkshake with marshmallows ... the wedding photo of my father commissioned from Helmut Newton when he had a studio in Collins Street ...Pellegrini’s for late night kitchen meals....visiting Job Warehouse with Martin Grant and Fiona Scanlon and scheming creative ideas for photo shoots in their studios in Stalbridge Chambers.

I love Melbourne plain and simple - so I’m happy to be part of its memories.
